Red Lodge, Montana is a great place to visit when you are looking to enjoy everything that the outdoors has to offer. Drive the Beartooth Scenic Byway. Designated a National Forest Scenic Byway, the Beartooth Highway has been described as “the most beautiful road in America”. Reaching heights of nearly 11,000 feet, this 69-mile drive offers skytop views of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, alpine lakes and plateaus. Follow the switchbacks of the Beartooth Scenic Byway and view famed geological wonders on the way to Cooke City, Silver Gate and Yellowstone Park. Pristine air, unique alpine vegetation and breathtaking scenery make this 3-hour drive an unforgettable trip through Beartooth Country.

One can travel to Yellowstone on US 212, Red Lodge to Cooke City/Silver Gate via the Beartooth Scenic Byway. The world’s first National Park is renowned for its spouting geysers, mineral pools, bubbling mud cauldrons, canyons, rivers and lakes, cascading waterfalls and abundant wildlife. Children and adults of all ages will delight in visiting Beartooth Nature Center, which includes a children’s petting zoo.

Dine at one of some of the best restaurants, and enjoy a cup of coffee made from fresh roasted and ground coffee beans. Museums and art galleries along with shopping at the versatile and unique stores absolutely full of works by local aritsans will complete your trip to Red Lodge.
