Williamsburg, VA

Williamsburg, Virginia is a great city that offers a little bit of everything. The city has some history to it – but it also has one of the largest theme parks in the country – Busch Gardens. Colonial Williamsburg is the place to go to see actors and volunteers bring the 1770 city to life. As you walk around the town you can see everyone busy going about their natural ways and doing the things that they would have done during that time.

You can watch blacksmiths, saddlemakers, wigmakers, silversmiths; you can ride in horse-drawn carriages, talk to inn-keepers, and hear daring patriots whisper about revolution– such is the atmosphere, in Colonial Williamsburg, which has an extensive area of fully restored buildings as the backdrop to the “living history” experience.

Busch Gardens is a great way to treat your children to a fun day on some of the highest and wildest rides. There is never anything boring and at the end of the day you can check out the laser show. For more of a cool down during the hot summer days you can always make s trip to Water Country USA.
